A tiny yet versatile USB UART interface

The Nautilus is a USB UART, allowing easy interfacing of most "serial port"-style electronics.

On one side, a micro-USB connector allows attaching a cable to a host computer. On the other side, a six-pin female header exposes the TX (transmit) & RX (receive) lines, as well as some ground, a 3.3V reference and VUSB (5V).

Note: USB cable and jumper wires not included.

Selectable operation voltage

So many devices out there to talk to, yet so many of them don't agree on whether a serial interface should be at 3.3V or 5V. Do you carry a level shifter around just to solve this issue?

The Nautilus includes a simple switch on the side, clearly labeled and easily accessible, to select between 3.3V or 5V operation. No more level-shifting nonsense to get a quick shell on a target board - just plug in the Nautilus and select the appropriate voltage.

Dual reference outputs

In addition to the TX & RX lines, the Nautilus also features two ground pins as well as dual 3.3V & VUSB (5V) reference outputs.

These come in handy whenever you need to pull some additional pins high or low on the target.

No drivers required - use anywhere

Built around the famous FT232 chip, the Nautilus is automatically handled by all modern operating systems.

This mean you never have to worry about drivers, even when using the Nautilus from someone else's computer.
