3D print, enclosure, Skunk -

Recently I mentioned having worked on an updated version of the Skunk's 3D-printed case. After some thinking about it, I decided it would be better to actually include a print of the case with the Skunk itself.      Why the change? Many of you don't own or have access to a 3D printer, and I started to feel it was unfair to some to only provide the STL files for printing yourself. 3D-printing details I tried a few filaments to find something that would look nice, print reliably and require no post-processing. Fillamentum's Crystal Clear Kiwi Green emerged as the...

3D print, case, enclosure, Skunk -

The Skunk is a really cool device to carry around. It doesn't take too much space yet serves up some pretty cool features when it comes to Ethernet links. Those of us who like to always have a Skunk ready in our toolbag must therefore protect its board from being damaged. While some like to simply have it in a small anti-static pouch, keeping the size to a minimum, others (including myself) would rather have it enclosed in a nice rigid case.   The Skunk User Guide therefore includes STL files for printing such an enclosure. I recently started feeling like...

bypass, gigabit, NAC, network, Skunk, sniff -

The Skunk is a Gigabit Ethernet tap and switch. Use it as a basic switch whenever you need one, or use it to sniff packets at gigabit speeds. Or write a custom firmware to do something else entirely. That's right - the Skunk firmware is open-source, simple and built with the Dooba SDK. In fact, go check it out if you are interested: https://bitbucket.org/dooba_core/skunk. When it's time to sniff some packets, the Skunk is ready to go in a single command via USB - no fumbling with complex web interfaces and IP address configuration madness. Plug in the cables, enable sniffing and start...
