A new USB injection tool
USB injection is such a pleasure: find an open session, plug in, loot. Operational constraints can make it difficult though: not knowing the keyboard layout of the victim for example. Whenever flexibility is key, our signature injector Azban is able to deploy payloads on virtually any OS and keyboard layout combination. However to achieve this Azban requires the victim workstation to be connected to the Internet. While this is not an issue in many cases, there are situations where an offline injection is actually required, such as tightly-restricted corporate network environments. Thus, a new solution presents itself in the form...
Introducing PopFob: Opener of many doors
Capture and replay ASK signals ASK (Amplitude-Shift Keying) is a form of modulation used by most garage doors remotes, as well as many car keys, alarm systems and other entry/access control mechanisms. PopFob listens for these radio signals, detecting and extracting any interesting patterns. Detected signal patterns are then saved to one of eight memory slots, matching the eight available pads. The pads light up to indicate a signal has been assigned, and can then be pressed to replay the signal. They also blink anytime the assigned signal is detected again, keeping a score system for easy identification of "interesting" signals. Analyze,...
Need a case for your Nautilus?
The Nautilus is a dual voltage USB UART - a nice little tool to have whenever you need to pop a shell on some target electronics board, be it a router, embedded Linux system or some microcontroller-based device. Twitter user Rémy GILLET (@remyglt) has taken the time to design a beautiful 3D printed case, which he was then kind enough to share with everyone. The results look very nice, below is a close-up of the orange version printed by @remyglt himself. I quickly printed mine in some glow-in-the-dark PLA, but I must say I still prefer the orange version from Rémy. This is what...
New Azban Slim fits most commercial USB enclosures
The Azban is a great way to compromise systems. Write a few lines of shell script and plug the USB device into a computer to run your payload regardless of operating system or keyboard layout. However, there are many cases where it would be even better to fit the Azban device into a "legitimate" device's enclosure. For this reason, I decided to also offer a Slim version of the Azban device, designed around the form factor for most common commercial USB flash drive enclosures. An example is shown below, fitting the Azban Slim into one of these classic "spinner" style...
Get into hardware hacking with the ioNode
A beginner-friendly embedded development kit The ioNode is a tiny and versatile microcontroller board. What's a microcontroller you say? Quick answer: a small processor with some RAM, Flash storage and a few peripheral interfaces. The ioNode is the ultimate AVR development board from Dooba, hosting a powerful ATMEGA1284P. Program it with some code to manipulate the individual inputs/outputs and start interacting with other chips, boards and target systems. The ioNode is programmed via USB (cable included) but your code can also communicate with a host computer for configuration, logging or whatever you may need. A bunch of basic components including...
